Miriam got a sense of what each department does at Drama Republic, helping with everyday tasks such as setting up the meeting rooms, making teas and coffees, helping the runner with some pick-ups and drop offs and organising the stationary cupboards. She did so with a great attention to detail and positive attitude.
During her time at Drama Republic, Miriam also helped the development team read some of their new shows, writing reports on them. The team helped her creating the reports and she gave detailed and helpful responses.
On her second day, she sat in on a social media meeting and listened to us talking about our social media plan for ‘One Day’. Miriam asked great questions and was keen to understand more, not only about the show and the plan, but how the company worked. Miriam then went on to help set up videos on TikTok. This was very helpful for our team, and they have been TikToking ever since!
Miriam asked a lot of good questions when she was carrying out the tasks and was keen to understand more about the whole company. As a final task, she created a great list of questions to ask our team: She interviewed one person from each of our team to talk about their roles. The questions were great and thoughtful, and the team really enjoyed being able to speak to Miriam about their roles.
With no Drama or Film GCSE available at her school, Miriam found this week inspiring and encouraging and confirmed her interest in the industry.
